Tactical-IP: Satellite Connectivity for First Responders.

Tactical-IP: Satellite Connectivity for First Responders.

When disaster strikes, first responders know communications access is crucial to their relief efforts. For those times when the terrestrial communications infrastructure is unavailable, damaged, destroyed or overloaded, satellite-based communications can provide a lifeline for people on the front lines of public safety and emergency preparedness.

Robust

Incident scenes are unpredictable. Response teams need 100% dependable communications no matter where they are operating. Tactical-IP™ portfolio of satellite-based services enables users to communicate instantly, access the Internet, and extend agency networks to any mobile environment.

Accessible

Tactical-IP Satellite Connectivity for First RespondersTerrestrial communications aren’t guaranteed to be available. First responders need to be prepared. Satellite-based services give first responders the communications they need to do their job, when they need to do their job regardless of existing infrastructure. With access to multiple satellite networks and globally positioned uplink ground stations, Tactical-IP service can be accessed in a moments notice – providing reliable access to data, voice and video communications at the push of a button.

Reliable

First responders require the maximum in their system’s uptime and availability. Built to support IP networking, Tactical-IP offers solutions that integrate voice, video and high speed data allowing users to maintain complete control of incident communications and operations from any incident scene, regardless of location or conditions.

Versatile

First Responders need well-rounded solutions. Tactical-IP gives first responders unparalleled access to mission critical information wherever the incident dictates. Providing solutions for mobile auto-acquire systems as well as fixed site antennas, each of our plans offer TDMA-based VSAT services with a 3-Mbps Downlink and 1-Mbps Uplink across Continental United States and parts of Canada.

Cost Effective Plans

Tactical-IP satellite service offerings are not limited in operation. We offer various packages with different levels of service giving agencies a costeffective method for managing satellite communication costs. Understanding that the monthly operational costs of satellite have previously been out of reach of the First Responder community, we’ve crafted our Tactical-IP offerings cover the varying needs of First Responders with packages that allow for training, quick response efforts, and long term relief and response operations all while maintaining affordable on-going costs.

Affordable Satellite Connectivity for Emergency Services

First responders don’t have time or money to spare, so we offer a variety of packages and pricing on the satellite service:

For those customers who prefer a low-cost monthly plan, but need the ability to turn-up the maximum available bandwidth for mission-critical operations, we are proud to offer the Bandwidth on Demand (BoD) option.
Available as a day-rate charge on either the Communicator or Enterprise plan, BoD allows the user to arrange for up to 2Mbps* dedicated-use uplink. This allows for the flexibility to transmit the maximum amount of traffic for Video-Teleconferencing, Backup Dispatch / CAD communications, Video Surveillance or any other bandwidth-intensive application. The downlink remains in the 3Mbps TDMA burst pool to create a cost-effective solution, yet allowing dedicated bandwidth for mission-critical applications.
*2Mbps uplink requires .96-meter antenna with minimum 6W Block-Upconverter (BUC) in CONUS. Contact one of our sales engineers to inquire if your existing hardware is capable of Tactical-IP BoD.
